Higher Education and Training Awards Council
Hibernia College is Ireland's only HETAC-accredited online college. HETAC (the Higher Education and Training Awards Council) is the Irish government body responsible for awarding third-level educational and training qualifications outside the university sector. Through its HETAC accreditation, Hibernia College's qualifications have national and international recognition. The Department of Education and Science
All Hibernia College's HETAC-accredited programmes are automatically recognised by the Irish Government's Department of Education and Science. In addition, the Dapartment also recognises Hibernia College's suite of online summer courses for primary school teachers, and as such, teachers who complete these CPD courses are approved for extra personal vacation (EPV) days. |

Chartered Institute of Management Accountants
Hibernia College's Master of Science in Financial Management and Control has been formally accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) for the purposes of awarding exemptions from their three strategic levels papers:
- Paper P3 Management Accounting Risk and Control Strategy
- Paper P6 Management Accounting Business Strategy
- Paper P9 Management Accounting Financial Strategy
Following graduation from the Hibernia College Master’s programme, candidates must then pass the TOPCIMA paper to become full members of the Institute.
The Master’s programme includes preparation for the TOPCIMA paper in the form of modular examinations that mimic the TOPCIMA case study approach. In addition, studying within the Master’s framework enables participants develop the holistic and integrated perspective of Risk and Control, Business and Financial Strategies that is required to excel at TOPCIMA. Further TOPCIMA tuition will be provided to all graduates of the programme.

Canterbury Christ Church University
Hibernia College has recently collaborated with Canterbury Christ Church University in the UK to create iTeach, an online training programme for second-level teachers of maths, physics and chemistry in England. The programme, funded by the UK government’s Training & Development Agency (TDA), was developed to address the current shortage of maths and science teachers in England by providing a more flexible and adaptable path to becoming a fully qualified teacher. International Federation of Associations of Pharmaceutical Physicians
The International Federation of Associations of Pharmaceutical Physicians (IFAPP) is a non-profit organisation that has existed since 1975. The aim of the organisation is to act as an international forum for all the organisations of Pharmaceutical Physicians worldwide. It fosters the development and international recognition of Pharmaceutical Medicine as a medical specialty and the development of training and continuing education programmes in pharmaceutical medicine. Hibernia College's M.Sc. in Pharmaceutical Medicine is the only online programme to be accredited by IFAPP's Council for Education in Pharmaceutical Medicine. Chartered Insurance Institute
Hibernia College's online M.Sc. in Financial Management and Control offers credits towards CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) accreditation. Graduates wishing to enter the CII's financial services pathway will receive 60 non-specific credits towards its financial services pathway, while graduates wishing to enter the CII's insurance pathway will receive exemption from the Business & Economics unit plus another 30 non-specific credits.

Training and Development Agency
The Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) is an executive non-departmental public body of the UK Government's Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF). One of the agency's primary roles is to provide adequate training for teachers in England. One of the programmes approved and funded by the TDA is iTeach, the online teacher education programme developed by Hibernia College and Canterbury Christ Church University in the UK. iTeach delivers online initial teacher education to students across England who wish to pursue a flexible and convenient route to becoming a qualified teacher of Maths, Chemistry or Physics. Continuing Professional Development Scotland
CPD Scotland is a SEED (Scottish Executive Education Department) sponsored project being delivered jointly by the National CPD Team and Learning and Teaching Scotland. As well as providing a range of CPD opportunities, it aims to take advantage of various online tools and the current uptake in social software for the collaboration and sharing of ideas, professional thinking and practice. National University of Ireland, Maynooth
Hibernia College has in the past collaborated with the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, to provide a Master of Arts in Hospitality Management. The web-based programme allowed employees and managers to obtain a deeper understanding of best industry practices from leading hospitality practitioners and academics. In addition, the flexibility of online study fitted the hospitality industry with its demanding schedule and allowed industry professionals to gain an accredited qualification while continuing to work. |
